When it comes to issues of health and safety, compliance with legislation and making sure equipment operates efficiently then the Service Engineer is in the front line.
This course built with our health and safety training partners is intended to encompass the experience of your normal activity as a service engineer and introduce many aspects, which have either a direct or indirect effect on compressed air system.
The health and safety topics can be considered as minimum educational requirements and should become a subconscious action and of paramount consideration. This qualification brings together all aspects of health and safety under one certificate and its aim is to support a fully rounded set of certificated qualifications that many customers will come to see as essential.

The qualification is built up of certificates from approved providers and can encompass certificates the engineer already has in place – the aim is to encourage a fully rounded health and safety qualification for our compressed air engineer community. Therefore, we fully expect each quotation for this course to be bespoke as we will build the learning path for you only covering those qualifications that you have not already taken.

Once the engineer has presented certificates for their qualifications BCAS will check the training providers are on our approved supplier list. We can advise the remaining qualifications required and subsequent course cost.
Sounds complicated – we recognise that many of our members have this in hand and therefore duplicating training would be of no benefit.
However a certificate for the health and safety requirements of the industry would be a valuable asset for employers and their customers alike
